This beautiful taverna summer garden serves excellent food. Start with horiatiki salad with Greek tomatoes and feta; go to zucchini-balls, or meatballs. Greek meatballs are great. The stuffed grape leaves made with egg and lemon sauce are always delicious. Then find a pastitsio or a moussaka to die for. Then locate a lamb dish, or a grilled fish (whole). Whole Greek fish is splendid with olive oil and lemon and a few spices.
It is the oldest taverna in the Plaka and there is a reason why it has been around this long.
Dont' forget the wine.
In addition, after 8:30 the Greek music starts. It is not overwhelming. It is bouzouke, guitar, singer -- lovely. They sing while you eat and talk. It's Zorba music and oh so cool. People start piling in after 8:30. Greeks and tourists.
You will have a beautiful time.
