This apartment was great! We walked there in 20 Minutes from Syntagma metro stop. (We were confused by the trams but if you can figure them out, the walk would only be five minutes). Be aware that the home is in a very hilly area, if hills are tricky for you. We were four fit fifty-somethings with small backpack suitcases so had no trouble. There was a bakery with delicious goods and friendly service nearby, along with a restaurant & bar that both seemed very popular (packed at night). The old centre with more restaurants, the acropolis and Acropolis Museum were an easy 20 minute walk as well.
The apartment has air conditioning in each room, a lovely private courtyard, comfortable beds and pillows in the bedrooms, and beautiful en-suite bath rooms with plentiful hot water. The kitchen has loads of retro style coupled with modern appliances. Service was great; communication from George was superb. Our delayed arrival caused no difficulties, and his colleague Chris met us at the door. Highly recommend this place!
On arriving at the house there is nothing to indicate the cool, quirky and yet sophisticated interior of this Athens house. Exquisite detail and a no expense spared renovation made it very hard to drag ourselves away to the Acropolis, the Plakka, the Agora and the boundless other tourist sites that are all within a 15 minute walk of the house.
We stayed for 3 nights in June, with temperatures hovering around the 40 degrees every day. It was so nice to escape the heat and noise of Athens to come home to this cool and quiet house, with a fabulous bakery and mini market a 2 minute walk away.
