Acropolis Ami Boutique Hotel
Ranked #80 of 282 Hotels in Athens
Reviewed February 29, 2012

I spent 3 nights in Acropolis Ami Boutique Hotel with my husband during our stay in Athens and i must say it was an amazing surprise. It is a spotlessly clean, recently thoroughly renovated 3-star hotel, ideally situated in the proximity of the historic center of Athens, in a very quiet, safe and easily accessible (even on foot, if you approach the hotel from Vresthenis Street) location. Nice, extremely polite and friendly staff (especially at the front desk), always willing to help in any way possible. Excellent breakfast and great amenities, by the standards of its category (mini fridge, LCD TV set, solid Wi-Fi Internet connection for free, A/C, impeccable central heating, bedlinen of very good quality, extremely comfortable bed, round the clock fresh orange juice and fruits for all the hotel guests at the breakfast buffet area, with the compliments of the hotel owner, Mr. Panos Bettis). Amazing view of many major sights of Athens (the Acropolis, the Lycabetus Hill, the Philopapus Hill, etc.) from the roof terrace on the 6th floor. We were given a spacious room on the 4th floor, with a big balcony overlooking the Acropolis. Sheer magic, especially at night. All in all, probably the best value for money we had, in a 3-star hotel in Greece and abroad, in a long time. I could not recommend it more. Mr. Panos, Mr. Giannis, Mrs Rita and the rest of you guys: Keep up the good work and many thanks for a memorable stay.

Me and my boyfriend stayed 8 days in the Acropolis Ami Hotel and we had a great stay. The staff was incredibly nice.Breakfast was rich and there are drinks you can help youself to (Tea,coffee, orange juice)during the whole day. The hotel is not far from all the attracions and the price quality realtion is a very good one. The hotelstuff was really great and very polite and they gave us good advice for sightseeing, metros to take and so far. We had a very good stay at this hotel and I can highly recommend it.

Room Tip: We asked for a quiet room and we got one on 4th floor.

The hotel is situated in a peaceful part of Athens, just 5 or 10 minutes of walk from the most important sites like Acropolis, The New Acropolis Museum, Syntagma Square etc. It is easy to reach from the International Airport E. Venizelos either by shuttle bus X 95 (it's last station is the Syntagma Square) or by Metro (blue line from airport to Syntagma Square). If you are a conformist, you can take a taxi (35€ flat rate from the airport to any part of Athens).
The hotel is new and very charming, located in the peaceful part of never sleeping capital. Rooms are new and nicely furnished, each with a huge balcony.
When making a reservation, ask for the Acropolis view, and you will get it free of charge.
Hotel has a desktop computer available in the lobby and free Wi - Fi.
Unfortunately, I had to take my lap top with me, in order to work, even for holidays, so the free Wi - Fi saved up some nice cash.
The restaurant is on the first floor. You can enjoy in local products and cuisine. Coffee, tea and fresh fruit is available 24/7. The secret of the good taste is organic food. The hotel is supplied by local farmers who treat their land and plants in line with tradition like their fathers and grandfathers did.
The largest contribution to the overall rate of the hotel, surely are employees. My wife and I had a feeling that we went to visit our relatives. Family atmosphere and front desk always ready to help, advise, give tips about sights, etc.
Sending love to the lovely receptionist Voula and her colleagues. :))
We will definitely pick this hotel on our next visit to Athens.

Room Tip: All the rooms are about the same size, but not huge. 1st floor rooms are closer to the restaurant...

Me and my husband stayed 5 nights in this hotel and our experience was wonderful. The staff was very kind and helpful. Our room was very clean and tidy and the bed extremely comfortable, with amazing views to Acropolis from the balcony. We enjoyed very much the large breakfast buffet with cold and hot food, everything sooo tasty! Tea and coffee-making facilities were also available 24 hours every day. The location is peaceful and great, within walking distance to the Syggrou-Fix tube station, restaurants and all must-see places like Acropolis, Plaka etc. Would definetely recommend!

I've just arrived back after spending 3 nights here with my husband. I have to say that it was a great experience! I know that after reading other reviews regarding the use of the word 'boutique' can be misleading - which depends on where you are in the world. This hotel doesn't have designer wallpaper and cushions and throws etc. What it does have is comfy bed, a great shower (with huge shower rose), lashings of hot water, and friendly staff. There was a bit of a tight squeeze into the dressing table, but the room looked exactly like the photos. The public area is pretty, in a kitsch way. Breakfast was superb, with a large variety of hot/cold food and you can squeeze your own oranges too! Coffee and tea where available 24 hours which was handy.
We had a room on the second floor and not much of a view from the balcony, but that was our choice. There is a great view of the acropolis from the roof terrace. The hotel is out of the way up a steep hill, but that was worth it for the peace and quiet in a very noisy city.I would recommend it and stay here again.

We spent 4 nights at this lovely little hotel (located in a small side street away from the heavy traffic noise) and would definately go there again. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was within walking distance of the Parthenon and new museum and other well known sites. The hill position kept us fit but wheelchair, zimmer frame or crutch users may find this a lttle difficult unless going places by taxi. There is a lift to all floors. The roof top bar is not open yet but there are tables and chairs up there so you can take in the spectacular views with a drink of your own.
Our room tho' small was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The furnishings were virtually new and we had a small flat screen television with lots of channels. Also conveniently a decent size empty fridge for our bottles and snacks.
We asked for and were given a (large) balcony with a floodlit view of the Parthenon and the roof tops of historical old Athens...very romantic. Some balconys did not have this.
The breakfasts were super large cold buffets with tastes, healthy and indulgent to suit all.. Although the room did not have tea making facilities, the breakfast area had 24hr drink making facilities including a squeezer and copious fresh oranges as well as a very good selection of other fruits. Ice always available and water.
The on suite was small but was nicely equipt, including soap, shampoo, mending kit, shoe horn etc and the shower was powerful and hot.
Our first visit to Athens was enhanced by our accomodation and at a very reasonable price in December time. Thank you Voula and staff for making our stay so memorable...Sue & Ken(Rhodes & Uk)

I stayed at the Acropolis Ami for a total of 3 weeks. Originally for a week, but loved every aspect of this hotel that i extended my stay. Breakfast was awesome, the hotel is 6 months old and therefore exceptional clean and new. The bed was the best bed Ive ever slept on. So fluffy and comfortable. Location was perfect near the train station, Sygrou Fix -5 min walk, the tram is basically outside the hotel, and you are within walking distance to Plaka, Monastiraki, the Acropolis museum and the Acropolis. The rooftop bar, is almost complete, but you can sit there and enjoy the views of Athens and gorgeous view of the Acropolis. The staff were completely amazing, friendly and so helpful in every way. Location was exceptional for a single lady- i felt safe in the great neighborhood. I loved the hotel so much, i highly recommend it and i will definately be coming back.

Room Tip: i chose a room wth a smaller balcony, but my room was bigger... persoanal choice for a winter stay...
