We found the Athens Habitat on Tripadvisor, and booked there for an extended stay. As former residents of Greece we did not know what to expect, and we received an extremely pleasant surprise. The Athens Habitat offers large, spacious rooms with an excellent level of cleanliness -- we particularly liked the wraparound balcony. The breakfast is more than adequate, with lots of coffee waiting to be served by the very friendly Mrs Dina. I can't say enough about this hotel to recommend it to casual travellers, who don't mind a hotel a bit off the beaten track. This is excellent value for money.

Having stayed for 5 wonderful days we wish to be back!
When we returned home, we feel that we should share our experience with you.
Everything was perfect - the check-in process, on sofas in the lounge, whilst sipping excellent espressos; the room - beautifully and stylishly yet comfortably appointed;

Excellent yet unobtrusive service, a perfect location, supreme comfort. Just do it!!!

Athens is so enormous city that you have to stay for more days in order to visit every place of it!!

It's not a usual hotel.
They offer you more than a room. Most times we are talking about apartments.
The business has two buildings, very close the one to the other. The main building (where the small reception is...) has 4-5 floors. Most of the rooms are very large, some of them with separate kitchen. It is a non smoking hotel, but as they say, they have wonderful smoking balconies. Of course they have all the standard utilities (A/C, TV etc). They offer you for free, coffee-tea etc in the room. To be honest most of the times they do not charge you not even the mini-bar that has only water, juices and sodas.
The area is very safe and very quite. You will find many place to park around the hotel.
Since there is no 24h reception, they give you a code to enter the hotel after 22:00 that you must not lose/forget or else you might have to spend your time, waiting for someone to open you the main door. Wi-fi is free and the signal is very good in all rooms.
All rooms are very modern and very clean. I recommend this place for everyone!!!

Lets point the very few things that might be considered as cons.
Even though the hotel is very close to "Attiki odos" and very close to a couple of major shopping centers, you will not find a tube station near to the hotel.That means that the only way to move from your hotel is Taxi. However, it is very easy to call a taxi and it's not expensive.
The breakfast is taking place in the reception area. There are a few tables (around 10 i think...) that serves the whole hotel.It is a little weird to have your breakfast like that, but honestly I have never left without a table. The breakfast is not very rich, but not very poor too. You will find all the necessary stuff you usually eat. They serve also toasted sandwich (we call them plain tost), something that is not very usual.

I give an overall 10/10 at the place.

Room Tip: Rooms on the secondary building are larger.

This is a great place to stay. We are here working for ten days and have made this our home base and everything is as perfect as you could wish for. Our deluxe room is great and even has it's own fab little kitchen. The area is kind of residential and maybe a tad off pitch for sightseeing but equally the cabs are cheap and it is a little more calm than central Athens. I also feel it is maybe a bit more affluent and therefore maybe safer. We will be back in September for sure :)

Room Tip: Read the reviews -They all look nice so it depends on your budget
