I wasn't sure what to expect from Areos, but after spending a few nights, I decided to stay one more on the way back home from the islands.
The receptionists Joseph and Andreas were the amazing! They were extremely friendly and helpful! Andreas also speaks fluent Portuguese, which was a relief for my brother-in-law.
The hotel is very modern on the inside. Although a bit dark and small, the deco of the rooms is quite clean and bathrooms are great!
The area is considered by some as a downside, but I must say there is nothing to fear about. You just won't find posh shops over there. Main tourist attractions, though, are within walking distance or just a couple of stops in the metro, which is very close.
