“In the Ancient Agora”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

This is the crowning jewel in the Ancient Agora and can be seen from he Acropolis. Again, it's worth the time to get there, but watch the map closely, as there is a long fence around the outside and there are only a couple of entrances, so you can waste a lot of time walking before you even enter. Don't miss the museum and the second floor for great views!

“nice place to see”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

Incredible temple which is situated in Agora complex. Don't miss to watch all around the Agora including Temple of Hephaestus of course - the ticket is combined within Acropolis one (12e) or you can buy single one if you're interested only on visiting only Agora.
Easy access also not from Acropolis side but from Adrianou street.

A lesser known jewel of Athens! The temple gives a far more accurate idea of what the great temples like the Parthenon really looked like with the roof, columns and walls all far better preserved. Serves as a great "template" for the Temple of Poseidon at Sounio which was a larger version build by the same architect. Wonderful park like atmosphere in the middle of Athens complete with singing birds even in Winter. Far less tourists (groups) and far less commercial. Great photograph opportunities. Along with the accompanying agora, a must do!

“cant go in”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

You can see it when visiting ancient Agora but you can't actually go in. It can only view from outside, towards the back and right from main entrance gate of the Ancient Agora.

“Impressive Temple they should priovide you with some info”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

Beautiful, very well preserved Temple in the Ancient Agora at the foot of the Acropolis. You may visit this place with the same ticket that you visit the Acropolis. We wished there was some audio guide or a local guide to explain a few things. We had bad luck with a driver we toured with n Athens and we longed for some info. Have a good guide book with you and walk around this Temple. You may sit by it and enjoy the views it offers because it is located at the highest spot of the Agora. We left the place from the side entrance behind the Temple and came to a nice pedestrian walk way where we had a nice lunch at some of the many restaurants.
