Owner description: This ancient Greek temple, located on the Acropolis and dedicated to Hephaistos, god of the forge, is one of the few temples to be almost entirely preserved.

Hidden in the very large Agora tract which is hard to find an entrance for, totally lacking in helpful signage, or benches .... this was truly a marvelous thing to see. Make sure you how to find it before you go.

Built on the same plan as the ruined temple of Poseidon at Sunioun, and nicely set back among its own grove. Don't miss it.

The Temple is a little bit up and around once you get into the entrance of the park, but it is absolutely beautiful. It has weathered far better than the Parthenon, which is obviously older and needs more construction to be properly maintained.

This is well worth the effort to view. Again be very careful when walking, try to get a guide book as everything can be a bit confusing

This is in the Agora and worth a visit, get a guide book and you will learn what to look for. It is a short walk from the Stoa but go there

While walking the Agora, make sure to make your way to this temple. It is not huge, but is still an imposing structure that shows just how marvelous these buildings are. You cannot go inside, but you can get right up next to it and see inside.

The surrounding area is very scenic and in conjunction with the temple, should offer up some very good pictures.

The temple is park of the parks admission (included with your Acropolis ticket)
