We stumbled on this following a casual recommendation from a taxi driver. We travelled independently but it clearly is on the route for the circular taxi trips where drivers are able to promise beauty and good simple food. There were few visitors when we went on two successive days but there a few locals taking advantage of the location and shade beneath the grape trees that border the beach. The beach of glistening coral sand shelves into milky white waters, probably best suited to children who are reasonably confident in the water or able to be supervised. It's pretty safe though, just gets deepish quickly. The sun loungers look a bit expensive for a short stay but there is plenty of shady spots. The bay boasts a charming beach restaurant with a limited but interesting and tasty Caribbean menu, reasonably priced. Try creole prepared fish. Service is on the relaxed slow side, but use the time to go for another swim. Behind the beach is a lagoon for those interested in birds - waders, ducks, egrets, frigate birds, pelicans etc. a real treat, about 2k south of Jolly Harbour on the right and just past a ghastly looking double decker bus selling fish and chips!
