When we asked our taxi driver recommendation for fish restaurants this was his first choice and we were delighted in fact went four times once for tapas tried the paella excellent the baked red snapper in salt was a treat and we were allowed to pick our own fish for freshness and size. The service and price we thought very good on all occasions we dined out side inside could be brightened up. Will go back next time in La Cala.

We asked for a quick dinner as we were wanting to be in nearby Legends by 9.30. The four of us sat at a central table which we were shown to by a surly waitress. Our wine arrived quickly but then said waitress asked us to move to a smaller table at the side. Eventually after a 10 mins wait she took our order. Our food arrived but as it was put on the table, the waitress managed to tip our wine bottle over and I got soaked. She wiped my handbag but was not apologetic. At the end of the meal, the old lady who sits in the corner brought and collected our bill and I mentioned losing half our wine. She smiled. So I said that next time they owed us a glass of wine. She laughed, "Si. La proxima". We all know there won't be a next time! I've given the place several chances and have been consistently disappointed. Poor food, poor price, poor customer service.

like the previous review we thought we would try this place out as as every time we had passed, it was full and busy. Agree the staff were unattentive and rude. They forgot one of our orders and when it came (king prawns) they did not look fresh a disgusting green goo spilled from the ones we opened. When we told them, we were told that this was normal. Strange every other place we've had king prawns, we have not come across this. The rest of the food was bland. not good..

Booked this restaurant as a prequel to a family wedding, as every time we had passed, it was full and busy. How wrong we were! The staff were unattentive and kept us waiting quite a while before our order was taken. When the food arrived it was absolutely tasteless - only my partners baby octopus had anything good about it. Six of us had sirloin steaks in various sauces - the strangest looking sirloin I've ever seen! More like some overcooked stringy slice of brisket. Peppercorn, mushroom and onion sauces all identical and flavourless.
With a couple of bottles of Cava, the bill came to more that 35euros per person for main courses only - an expensive waste of money. There is no atmosphere and the prices are not in keeping with a cafe style set-up with plastic tablecloths and paper napkins. Much better places to eat in La Cala that are better value for money.
