The Crown Plaza Hotels are my favorite Hotels. I've visited them in Zurich (near the football stadium) and Brussels (Le Palace and Europe).
The Le Palace rooms are a little bit old fashioned (carpets, furniture) but well-tended and clean. The bathrooms could get a renewal but they are still ok and clean as well. The king size beds are superb; the TV is a standard flat screen with Belgian and some international channels.
The fitness room is small and average, but the equipment is modern and all working.
The breakfast is a must have – fresh fruit salads, various fruit juices (like apple+kiwi), bread rolls, scrambled eggs etc and really good coffee, also to go.
To reach central places like “The grand place” you walk just 10 minutes or you can go into the metro station in front of the hotel.
Negative: You can’t open the windows wide the chain at the window allows just 5 cm, the aircon didn’t work in all rooms or was switched off (maybe over 20 degrees in October in Brussels wasn’t expected).

Room Tip: The second floor is the "smokers floor", don't get a room near the stairs and elevators in the third floor if you don't like to smell smoke. The fitness room is on the third floor near room 344.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for posting on Trip Advisor and sharing your experience with us!
We are happy to read that you appreciated our rooms and enjoyed breakfast.
Our windows can not be entirely opened because of security issues and indeed the warm weather is unusual for this time of year. Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience you might have experienced.
I do hope that we have the opportunity to welcome you again upon your next trip to the Capital of Europe.
With best regards,

Had a review meeting dealing with an EU project I am involved in. CP is just in front of the building were the meeting took place.
Arrived VERY early, around 07:00 in the morning and received a room with a smile. this was great as I had an overnight flight and was just exhausted. The room was great. clean, silent and comfortable.
Breakfast was very rich and tasty.
The concierge was helpful in finding restaurants and places to visit.

All in all - a great place. Will be back.

Room Tip: Some rooms are facing the window of another room. if this disturbs you - ask for a room facing the square/street. These are probably more noisy.

we arrived late in the evening ,check in was hassle free and staff where very friendly. The room was a good size and very clean, although the view from the window was over looking another side of the hotel.after spending the day sight seeing in the rain,it was nice to return to the hotel, which had its own controls for the heating,we soon warmed up.the only down side of the hotel was in the evenings there was a lot of siren noise, police or ambulance which we could hear from our room.

Great value for money at the weekends as all the EU business folk head home and the big hotels empty out. The breakfast is amazing. Fresh juice Lots of fresh fruits and different types of breads. It kept me going until evening time. Rooms really cosy and beds very comfortable Had my best nights sleep in weeks. Bedrooms are average size though. Very handy for the train (Gare du Nord) to the airport and for shopping with City2 shopping centre across the road and the Rogier metro stop outside for your shopping trip to Avenue Louise.
However I was very sad to find out that my favourite restuarant, Pablos, on Rue de Namur had closed down

Room Tip: Choose the breakfast option when booking a room online as it is very expensive to buy breakfast when you are there. It only cost us 12.50e each for breakfast when we booked B&B online as opposed to about 28e when your room doesn't have breakfast included.

We booked a great value saturday night stay including breakfast and couldn't have been more pleased.
Starting with the friendly welcome at check-in nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The room was well appointed and comfortable (although a bit hot), breakfast was good quality and varied. Located 10 mins walk to Grand Place, we'd definitely use the hotel if we were to return to Brussels. One not to miss.
