We had enough Hilton points for a 3 night stay. I would have been very upset if I had to lay out cash for this place. Worst Hilton accommodations I ever had. We did not try the restaurant/bar so cannot comment. The location is good and lobby is nice looking. It went down hill when we entered our first room. It was small and dreary so we asked to be switched to the Hilton Honors floor. They said there is no Hilton Honors floor. After some nudging, low and behold, they gave us a bigger room on the Hilton Honors floor. This room turned out to be a disaster. Towels were dirty. Dust all over. Stains on the floor. Outlet plugs not working. Toilet difficult to flush. A/C not working. We complained to the head of housekeeping and brought him to the room and pointed out everything. He said he would take care of it by the time we came back in the evening. Nothing was done and no info was logged so at midnight we requested a switch to a third room.

Back in the U.S, I called Hilton Customer Assistance to log my complaint about the quality of rooms. Maria told me that she could create a file and send it to the hotel for them to respond to me in 72 hours, only if I give the approval to do this. I told her that “I already complained to the head of housekeeping at the hotel and he did nothing so not interested in a hotel response. Just looking to pass the information along so the next person may have a better experience”. Bottom line, she did nothing. I would think Hilton would be more proactive and address customer issues instead of creating more red tape for the customer. If you want this area, try the Sheraton across the street or the Crown Plaza next door.

We have just spent 5 nights at this hotel. It is not the first time ,we always stay there when we are in Brussels ( nearly every year for a few days ).We like the location not far from the historic area and the Grande Place so we can walk almost everywhere. We find that the staff is even more friendly and helpful than the previous years.Whenever there was anything wrong it was fixed immediately. At the restaurant Michel was really very good .We dined there every night as there was a particularly attractive offer on the net and we were not disappointed. The food was really nice and they agreed very easily to accomodate our wishes. Our room was not very big but there was all the comfort we needed and it was rather quiet.
It is true that the area has become a bit rough with all the beggars and bums but I found that it was true of other areas as well :my husband was almost victim of a pickpocket at the entrance of the royal museums on the Place Royale !
So we had a great stay and will definitely come back .Only drawbacks:the price of the internet and of the video films on demand.

This hotel is about 10 mins walk to the main square and right next to a metro station. We had an upgraded room which was fantastic, really couldn't fault it. Spacious, clean, trendy.
Hotel breakfast was a bit pricey 22 euros each and not much to write home about. However we discovered that just across the road is a shopping centre with a lot of cafes on the ground floor so we had breakfast there.
Really nice friendly staff available 24 hours, we loved it.

This hotel is well placed near the shops and metro. It is a fair walk to the grand place but not a difficult walk. Rooms were very clean and modern but very very small. Brilliant breakfast, choice was very good. Staff were helpful enough and we were able to check in early. Recommend a chocolate tasting expereince near the mannekin pis... and a trip to the Atomium.

We try to stay at Hilton hotels whenever possible and booked a 4 night stay at the Brussels City because the Hilton Toisson D'Or was fully booked. We were very pleasantly surprised and will definitely stay here in the future. We were upgraded to a deluxe room which is very nicely renovated, the breakfast is that of a high end Hilton and the gym has all the basics, but is very well laid out. The staff have all tried to make our stay comfortable, and they succeed.
