Can't really understand the negative reviews of this excellent hotel. We enjoyed a superb short stay with fantastic service and a room which was more than adequate for our needs and overall the hotel is fully deserving of its official 4 star rating.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Furnishings are beautiful, and the rooms are amazing. The staff was helpful for teaching us about Brussels, telling us where to go for drinking, dinner and sightseeing. I would not stay at another hotel in Brussels.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room on a high floor...they are round, and well furnished

We stayed at Hilton, Brussels City over a long weekend - it is a fantastic location! Just across the road from main shopping street and a short walk from Grand Place and other attractions. It has a metro station right outside the hotel which you can get to most places (Brussels Midi is 10-12 minutes with the Metro), Gare du Nord is only 5 minutes away too. Great transport around this hotel.

Very clean hotel - staff are extremely courteous and helpful at all times. Definitely will stay again.

Room Tip: Floors 8 or 9 overlooking the Rogier Square. This side is furthest from the rail tracks...

On the busy building site of place Rogier, stuck between one of Brussels' poorest neighborhoods and the low brow shopping district of Rue Neuve, this Hilton needed some real comfort to please. No such luck. Waking up the sole employee at 2 am, we were buzzed in after a long wait. No 'good evening' or anything... Shouting across the hall, before we get to the reception desk, he asks if we have a reservation (hopeful to turn us around so he can get back to sleep?). Renovated in this cold hardwood style hat was fashionable a few years ago, the place already looks dated and run-down. No flair here. Room is freezing, heating doesnt work. Everything is very dirty. The walls are scraped by suitcases and daily use. The bathroom is filthy, the bathtub enamel peeling off, rust popping from underneath, the whole thing clumsily covered by DIY paint. Silicon all dirty. A cupboard but no hangers. This is not not a very nice place. A shame, because its a nice big room, and with a bit of love and care, this would have been an acceptable destination for the price. Management wake up call required....

We stayed here during our Xmas shopping, the experience was very good. I found the staff on the ball. They noticed it was my wife's birthday and we gave us a room upgrade. Then later they bought her a bottle of bubbly.
The room and the level of service was very good. Room was clean, helpful giving us directions. The only downside was when we went down to breakfast the waiter confused speed with efficiency was not paying enough attention and was literally throwing our jam pots at us. All in all a good experience definitely will go back.

Room Tip: The fourth floor corner was quiet
