Exactly what you would expect. A nice property in a good location.
My only complaints were that the lobby wreaked of perfume (quite intolerable). And, Wi-fi was 12 euro per hour or 24 euro per day.
Overall, a good hotel. I booked through Hotwire and was satisfied.

Great location a ten minute walk from the Grand Place down a pedestrian shopping street and a five minute walk from the train station to visit Brugge and the castle at Ghent. Impeccable staff and service. But the rooms are tiny as well as the bathrooms. We had just come from a room at the Doubletree in London that was three times as large and were thinking "really? This is a Hilton?" So great overall but the other reviews mentioning small rooms weren't kidding.

This hotel is a moderately-priced hotel within 20 minute walk from train station
or 5 minute walk if you choose to connect from the main station to the metro (underground) Place Rogier is the stop. The Hilton is also very close to the shopping district as well as "Grand Place" historical buildings like beautiful cathedrals and museums. The Belgium chocolate and waffles are a must while in the area ( Neuhaus and Leonidas are two of the better chocolatiers) The rooms are well appointed. It does need some updating like no separate shower and no executive lounge for quicks snacks. They will provide free internet and breakfast if you are a diamond member in their Hilton affinity program. (HHonors) The staff are very attentive to your needs and seem happy to help. The cost is again moderate to high. The hotel is great for short term stay for business. In addition, their is construction going on in the front of hotel for the last two years. I must say... This is the only hotel I have stayed in 15 years that the environmental (Heating in my case) was the best controlled. It never got drafts or too hot/or good. So, if are going during the winter this makes it worth the higher cost...

Stayed over the weekend and found check in and check out simple. Staff are very friendly. Room was small bit adequate for two. Cleaned everyday to a good standard. Extra costs for the WIFI and Gym, but as we walked to the Grand Place and back twice a day, this kept us fit. Got free wifi at other places whilst we ate and drank out for lunch and dinner. Close to Brussels Norde, we had Eurostar tickets which covered the journey from Midi to Norde.

I am very sorry for the fact that you were informed that our gym and sauna are a paying service, as the usage of this facility is free of charge for all our guests. The wifi is indeed a paying service in all the Hilton hotels in Europe.

Stayed downtown this time for a week.
The Hilton is centrally located and not too pricy compared to the hotels nearby the Grand Place, however this Hilton could get a tardy up...Rooms are quite small on any floor.
I would come back because of convenience and the minimum standards being met within the Hilton Family.
