I've stayed in this hotel on February 2013, I was looking forward to it, as I was very excited with all the pictures and reviews.

I arrived on a Friday, my two friends were already there. It was agreed that the extra bed will be there on my arrival, but I still had to remind them twice. Apart from that, no faults. Breakfast was great, I was obcessed with the waffle machine! They had british newspapers in the breakfast room, which was a nice touch. And I have to recommend the bar, they do the most amazing cocktails.

Be careful though, when you leave the hotel at night, as the area seems a bit dodgy. But it helps that the metro is just a few steps away from the front door.

Overall, a great experience.

Hi Monica, great you enjoyed the WOOW breakfast and tasted our SmoodS cocktails, a must-have!
We are sorry about the extra bed misunderstanding!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Brussels and stayed here because of the great reviews we had seen online. We were not disappointed!

The staff were very helpful, friendly and there were always people around in the foyer. It felt like a very welcoming but also secure place to stay as the reception was always staffed and the lifts on operate if you insert your room key. However the hotel is not in the nicest area, we went for a wander around and it is very run-down, however the hotel is fantastic, there are taxis outside, tram stops, buses, you're practically next-door to the metro and you're a very short walk from City 2. So it's all very convenient.

We stayed in a gorgeous corner room, with a sunflower painted over the bed, with great views of the city and the Atomium, all the necessaries amenities, a tea and coffee maker, stunning bathroom and the comfiest chair in the world. I wish I could have brought it home with us. The bed was also huge and very comfortable.

We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel as it's expensive, we walked into the city and ate at Exki everyday instead. However the breakfast did seem very popular from what we saw walking past, so it may be worth checking out if you can afford it.

Overall, despite being in a not so pleasant area of the city Hotel Bloom is a diamond in the rough and definitely worth staying at.

Room Tip: Corner rooms offer a great view. You can also mention any specific needs while booking.

Let's face it, Brussels is not a hotspot of tourist activity, and with good reason. Yes, the square is beautiful and has some lovely shops adjacent to it, but the rest of the city is pretty much a pit. I've heard there are dirtier European cities, but I've yet to see one. But, if you must travel to Brussels on business as I did earlier this month, for goodness sakes stay at Hotel Bloom. Other reviewers have mentioned the huge rooms, cool decor, helpful staff, and the apples. What you also need to know is that there are always taxis outside, along with trams and buses to whisk you to your meetings. Another really nice security feature is that the elevators will not operate until you insert your room key. But the best feature of all is the huge chair and ottoman in each room. This is by far the most comfortable chair in the world! Stay at the Bloom. It almost makes Brussels bearable.

Stayed for 3 nights on a city break. This is an excellent hotel, very modern and stylish. Our room was huge ( twin double beds !? ) and of a high standard. The service from the staff was perfect. Breakfast, which was of a high standard, was a bit pricey at 25 euros pp so if your booking does not include breakfast a stroll in to town to eat could leave you with few more euros to spend in the bar.

Room Tip: I believe that most rooms have individual murals with the exception of the 1st floor. Our room (116) was excellent but mural free.

Walked from station through streets full of red light windows so was finally relieved to get to the hotel. Lobby and restaurant very clean but had a bit of a weird plastic personality. No good for business appointments. Rooms huge, clean, great bathrooms. For all the attention paid to customising each room, hotel seemed a bit impersonal.
