“Very noisy hotel”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2013

Apparently renovated hotel with colorful room equipment. But actually it is a very noisy hotel (windows not well isolated, bathroom window not isolated at all). I had to pay on arrival which it is not a good sign and should be indicated in the reservation. But what really annoyed me was that I was asked to pay in a rude way. Impossible to feel welcomed after that!

Room Tip: Two nights here is more tan enough. Choose another hotel.

I booked this hotel for a three night stay with a group of friends. I had a twin room and opted out of breakfast.
The room itself was a little basic in terms of décor and provisions but it came with everything you would expect for a hotel in this day an age. The most important thing for me was that it was clean.
The hotel itself will not blow you away with its design or architecture. What you can expect however, and the biggest plus for me was a great location. The hotel is about one minute walk into the main pedestrianized shopping area and probably 10 minutes walk to the old town and all the sights people go to Brussels to see. From this hotel I think most places a tourist is likely to visit, are all within a short walk. The only staff at the hotel I encountered were reception and house keeping staff, and I can fault neither. All the staff were polite, house keeping cleaned the room daily and the reception staff were more than happy to help you with directions and questions.
Wifi worked in the reception but I didn't go there to experience the internet speeds.
I literally slept and showered at this hotel, spending the rest of my time in the city itself enjoying the food, drink and sights. If you are likely to spend prolonged periods of time in your room, I would suggest this is possibly not the hotel for you.
I'm not sure the official rating for this hotel but I would put it at 3 star. However its location gets it an extra point for the Trip Advisor rating.

The hotel is nice and enough good for its category. The only negative comment is related to the cost, quite expensive in comparison to other cities.
The services are quite ok and it is clean. The receptionists are helpful and polite.

Very centrally located, next to the metro Rogier 15 min from the Grand Place. Rather impersonal.
The rooms are clean but very small, so the tiny bathroom, the bed very comfortable, staff barely polite, small lift superslow.
There is no bar in the hotel, frigobar in the room is empty.
Efficient central heating and good wi-fi in the rooms

This hotel is in a great location, right near the train station and city center and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a bit of noise outside at night, which I expect when I travel and always make sure I have ear plugs on hand. It seemed like a fair price for the room, which I thought was big for a European single. I didn't try the breakfast - 15 euro seems like a lot for breakfast.

My husband and I stayed here for a city break in Brussels for 1 night. The hotel is very well located, not far from the main tourist attraction (in fact, we walked everywhere) and surrounded by other hotels, bars etc, so the area is good, not seedy or dangerous.
The staff at reception are extremely friendly and helpful. The room itself was quite small, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. We only stayed for one night, so we didn't mind, but if we had been staying longer we may have found it slightly claustrophobic. We had asked to stay on 7th floor (as it's quieter) and if fact we slept really well, we weren't disturbed by outside noise or other guests.
I'm not sure this is a 3 star hotel though, our room was quite dated looking, the walls had stains and looked like they could have done with a bit of a touch-up and there was no mini-bar, kettle etc.
Overall though, I think that if you're looking for a cheap and cheerful hotel for a city break and you're not bothered by the lack of amenities, this is absolutely fine

Room Tip: Stay on 7th floor, the rooms are quiet there. The rooms at the front have double beds, the rooms at...

Got the rooms for about 100 euro a day. It was value for money considering the location. Space good enough for a single person stay. Soap, shampoo, clean towels and a comfortable bed. No air condition (had not tried the heater) but the temperature was ok for my stay
