Bathroom disgusting, mouldy, tiles missing. Cheap plastic accessories.
Scruffy dodgy area, smelly and noisy.
Friendly owners however,
At least the water was nice and hot and there were plug in radiators for cold evenings, but the kitchen and dining room had dirty plastic table mats with food engrained; cheap plastic furniture; the elderly oven had not been cleaned...remnants of food stuck to the baking tray; the seal was broken on the fridge so door wouldn shut properly and it didn't cool properly; no draining board, so water dripped all over the worktop. Worst of all was the grubby bathroom with lots of broken and missing tiles, covered in black mould all around the shower, rusty old toilet cleaning brush and container, full of smelly stagnant water, and beetles scurrying around. It was dull and dark in the dining area and the second bedroom had no window. Whole place felt run down. Disliked the downmarket location: smelly, with burnt fish frying on old oil drums, blokes shouting; young kids outside shouting till midnignt and busy traffic hitting a noisy manhold cover with loud bangs audible all night through double glazing. One good thing: Kind owner took the bus to show us the way from town, and ordered us a taxi to and from the airport.
