Really enjoyed visiting this café and taking in the delightful Art Nouveau architecture by João Queiroz. It has been voted one of the most beautiful cafes in the world apparently. The joy is simply in being there. The coffee is good and the pastel de nata is just double (!) the price of everywhere else. The rest of the menu was pricey so we didn't bother. Worth visiting to have a good coffee and to admire the surroundings. Prepare to queue for a table as this is inevitably a popular tourist destination.

Cafe Majestic is a must see in the middle of the old town in Porto. You can not miss this place - once you see suddenly a croweded place in the pedestrian street, you are on the right way!

Nice and classic coffee house atmosphere - MUST SEE!

Probably better during the day, but this historic venue lacked something for an evening meal. Rather cold (late October) needs music or a pianist. Very small bolognese portion, pork and black pudding on a vegetable dish tasted tired and reheated. Wine overpriced. Resting on its laurels needs a shake up in the kitchen.

What a diamond to visit. This 1900 style café is heaving with atmosphere. Wonderful, fast service, and a good selection to chose from. This is a famous café--its a must for your tea or coffee ,--and afternoon tea. We did just that and came back for an early dinner--steak--prior to our flight. Not expensive--worth a visit.

I had read about this cafe and so dragged my boyfriend there. I'm so glad we went as we both agreed it was delicious. The cafe is beautiful, like stepping into a bygone world. It reminded me of being in Paris which is no bad thing. The staff are friendly and attentive. Try the coffee bom bom, it was the best thing I had during the whole of my trip. It's located in the main shopping area of town too so it's good for a quick stop to regain your strength for my retail therapy. A definite visit.
