Very mixed experience. Wild board stew while touted by the waiter was average to below average at best. Hake with lobster was tasty. Although the tableside plating of food was a an old school treat, overall service was not as attentive as we would expect. Very disappointing. Would not go back.

We went to this restaurant 3 times till now and we absolutely gonna repeat it. The service is spetacular, the food is great and the price is better than some some gourmet-nothing restaurants. The old builing and materials are forgotten with the flavour of the food. Really nice. Often available with promotions (Restaurant week, vouchers, bestables, etc.)

The restaurant is on the 13th floor of an old building with tiled façade and has one of the best views of Porto City.
The service is very traditional, the waiters are masters in the range of 50/60 years old who are keen to show a good service, but the service is not the fastest. It is a place to relax, not to go in a hurry.
The food is very good, with typical Portuguese dishes, but most international cuisine. The Dessert buffet is typically Portuguese, with a very large variety of regional sweets.
The cost benefit is very good. It´s a must see.

"Serviço Esmerado", is the way in Portugal the traditional restaurantes refer to their service when they care a lot about it. So this is the best way to describe this restaurant: Serviço Esmerado. This is a vingate restaurant in every sense. Not that type of new wave vintage you find all over. This is the real thing. It is as it was many years ago. So the service is top but in an ancient, traditional and portuguese way. The food is great and was "nouvelle cuisine" many years ago but is very worth to try. De decoration of the Hotel - the main building is a vintage looking hotel - is a fantastic vintage example despiite some small things that could be improved. The view of the city from the restaurant is fantastic as always has been.
I live in Oporto since ever and know most of the famous Porto's restaurantes that have apeared in the last years in the city and I find this one to be a unique experience.
Don't expect top noch cuisine but a special experience in a vintage/retro genuine way.

We went to this Restaurant as a special treat for my birthday, with a Gourmet card for €50.00 given by my son. The Restaurant was sited in a dismal area, which did not start the experiance very well, after taking the lift to the top floor, things got better, the Restaruant itself was very nice over looking Porto. We were greeted by the waiter who served us well, we chose our meals, with first and second courses meanwhile we were served with small plates. The food was good, but not exceptional, we gave the sweet a miss as we were full, and just had a coffee. And thats when we were dismissed by the waiter. The overall price was a shock €125.00, the only resonable price was the half bottle of wine at €8.00. This I would say is an overpriced experiance, I have been to better for less.
