Lovely bright second floor apartment. Two sets of French style windows with a balcony big enough for a table & two chairs. Perfect for the afternoon & evening sun. The apartment was very clean & well presented & as we were staying for almost two weeks the owner arranged for the cleaner to make an interim visit to change linen & towels. Raul was extremely helpful during our stay, particularly when he learned that the coffee maker was unusable, he literally went out to purchase a new one which he brought round to us the same morning. Very much appreciated, the Portugese like their coffee even more than the English do!
We would recommend this apartment.
Light and spacious apartment, well located. This apartment gives a different travel experience than staying at a hotel. Everything was provided and especially ... Raoul is an excellent host. Breakfast across the apartment was also top (at the corner of the street).
At night you can sometimes suffer from noisy tourists who entertain themselves on the terrace downstairs.
"A very nice stay in Porto, thanks to Raúl and his appartment ! A beautiful place, in a fine neighborhood, the perfect place to discover and enjoy the city. A very great welcome too, thanks for everything !"
Great location on the edge of the old part of the city, with plenty of nearby bars, restaurants and shops; without being too busy or noisy.
After a few hours' sightseeing we really enjoyed coming back to relax in the apartment: it was bright, airy and nicely furnished. The bedrooms were small but well ventilated and quiet for a good night's sleep.
Raul was very welcoming and gave us a comprehensive rundown of the area; things to do and places to eat etc. Thanks, we'd come back any time!
The apartment was a fantastic place to stay and was situated in a great central location. Although we did not have to contact Raul at all, he did make us feel that we were able to at any time. The apartment was very well equipped. The lounge had lots of natural light streaming through - with floor to ceiling french doors opening onto a small balcony area.
"A great apartment, photos are accurate and Raul is a thoughtful host who gave us an excellent orientation to Porto!"
Almost right in the middle but not quite - that means its a really great place to stay with parks, river views, museums and fantastic range of eateries from tapas bars to posh restaurants. The long balcony is not high enough to see the river but the sun shines on it most of the afternoon and well into the evening making for a great place to relax before or after dinner. All the usual stuff is provided including a small rear balcony which can be used for drying clothes straight from the washing machine. The two double bedrooms are internal (therefore quiet) and a tad tight but have enough space for clothes hanging and tucking away baggage. The furniture is eclectic in style but newish and in good nick and does the business for 4 people. We really enjoyed staying in the apartment and to cap it all Raul was very helpful and attentive.
