You just have to visit this place if in Porto. Im not realigious in any way but the Alter and chapel had me sat down and just wondering at the place for 15 mins. It not a large place but a must to see.

Ok so beautiful baroque tiled Churches are not exactly in short supply in Porto, nevertheless this is one of the more impressive ones, there was a service going on when I was there so I was only able to take a brief look inside but it is very Beautiful and well worth seeking out

Igreja das Carmelitas is, like all other churches in Portugal (as best I can tell), beautiful. The nice thing about this particular church is that you also get to visit the hidden house and Igreja do Carmo (for the price of 2.50E if you’re willing to splurge).

Stunning, yet over-decorated baroque church in the typical Portuguese style. Definitely worth a look, but whether you like it depends on your taste.

This church does not look impressive from the outside but it is full of very valuable art and many other religious articles. No, its not stuffy just old.

This church sits next to another church, just divided by the narrow house in the middle.

The inside of the church is beautiful. Spend a few minutes inside, great to get out of the sun. it’s free to go in but a donation to the poor is gratefully received.

But actually is/are two beautiful churches joined by the smallest house in Porto. The famous hidden house. The earlier of the two churches is mid-17th century. Was part of a convent for carmelites. It is beautiful inside with fine artwork. Altar is gorgeous.

Located next to the Igreja do Carmo and with the narrowest house in Porto connecting them, the splendour, art and structural design make a visit to this lovely church a must.
