The restaurant interior are like an episode of Mad Men designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. You get the picture - counter, bar, furniture, furnishings. It's in a listed building from the mid 20th Century and it all works beautifully.
The kids shared a burger - easily the best I've tasted in at least 6 months. Mom and Dad shared a range of tapas, from ceviche to octopus to Asian marinated chicken on skewers (delicious but a little dry). Excellent. Great service too.
How excellent? We returned for cocktails a couple of hours later. A gentle word of caution there. The Monday mid-afternoon bar staff sadly don't know their stuff. I expect the bar o' clock staff are rather better.
All in all we spent rather more on lunch than we planned. A good buy!
