Owner description: Get a Riiide was born to show Porto and its region to people that want to feel the real city, places and people. Not by an ordinary tour but through our knowledge. We have the van, we know the places and people, we have great prices, the joy, what are you waiting for?

Going to Porto, I really wanted to get to see the Douro Valley. I generally avoid anything "touristy" and especially guided tours, so I was a bit on my guard at first but this was anything but the regular tourist trap ( and there seem to be many in Porto)
We had a lovely day in good company. The places they took us too were beautiful and authentic. The wine tasting was great (really good cake too!) and most of all, Thomas was super accommodating to my "vegetarian needs"!
All together, I would definitely recommend this tour (and suggest to visit their cute website)

I didn't want to go on a normal, dreary stuffy tour, so it was a breathe of fresh air when I found this hipster-looking tour run by two guys roughly my age.

In short, the tour of a placid looking valley and a local winery was anything but placid, with the hosts at the winery putting up a wholesome lunch and engaging us with witty banter. The subsequent tour of the winery was also extremely interesting, with the hosts willing to frankly explain to you many of their wine making processes and business operations.

The two guys were equally knowledgeable about the region and the wine industry, and they were infectious with their enthusiasm and passion.

I think i drank 10 cups of wine that day. for those who TL: DR: Great trip! Great wine!

We had a great experience visiting the Duro valley with João. The vineyard we toured was a small, family-run establishment with very friendly and knowledgeable staff (4th generation is now running the vineyard). The day included a tour of the winery, wine tasting, lunch and time to relax at the property. We also got to see the valley from two lookout points with spectacular views during our trip by van from the city to the winery.

Another plus was the ease of booking this tour - The company was very responsive and helpful in setting up the tour (as well as arranging an airport pickup) in advance, and everything ran promptly on the day of the tour. Highly recommended.

We were looking for a way to visit the Douro valley. An option to go by own car was too expensive due to the last minute prices . This meant we would had to take a tour.

Not being a fan of tours we selected 'get a riiide' because the reviews gave the impression that it is not like a big guided tour but has a more personal approach. This impression was spot on.

The tour was great! We were taken to viewpoints that we would otherwise not have been able to find, the pace of the tour felt like we were not on a tour, the tourguide did have more than enough expertise on the region and was also just a friendly guy.

The visit to the vineyards was excellent. st. Eufemia is a beautiful vineyard and the people were really friendly. We had a great Portuguese lunch with among others their own wine and their own fruit. I did not know fruit could taste that good ;) Also it was an excellent opportunity to sit down with some Portuguese people and just talk.

The day could not have been better. The Douro valley can not be missed during a holiday in the north of Portugal and this tour really is excellent.

Thomas and the lovely diana took us out on the douro valley tour. We were only 2 persons, so it was like a private tour.
it was an amazing trip. After visiting so many beautiful look out points and churches we have finally arrived to the wine vineyard of st. eufemia (http://www.qtastaeufemia.com/ingles/p2por.html). It a relatively small wine vineyard owned by an amazing family who has had for its 5th generation now.
The family were kind enough to host us and prepare lunch for us. We sat down with the whole family in their dining room on their dining table for lunch, sipped from the delicious port wine and delicious food, had several discussion, jokes and laughs. It was like we were locals. We had a tour of the wine factory and the vineyard. It was beautiful, we felt so special. And to top it all of thomas drove to this small village on our way back to porto, where he bought some delicious cheese and freshly baked bread and took us to an amazing lookout point over the valley and the river. It was a wonderful experience and I'd rather take it any time over the commercial tours to big wine factories! Not to mention that this trip is way cheaper! Thanks Thomas for giving us such great memories that will remain with us for the rest of our lives.
