This café, which originated in the Azores, has the BEST toasts and grilled cheese sandwiches! They will make it with Azorean cheese and chouriço and you will die of delight. So delicious!

Inviting non-tourist vibe on the Porto riverfront. We only had drinks, but I would come back. Service was friendly and in easy English (or of course Portuguese or Spanish, plus...) check out the map upstairs of visitors from around the world :)

Its a litle bar with some few seats outside but quite cozy.
The sanwiches are GREAT and they serve the bst gin in Portugal. You have to go to Faial ( one of the Azores islands) to have a better one

We had lunch here on our arrival in Porto on the recommendation of our hosts at InPatio Guest House. She recommended the tuna salad, which normally wouldn't be top of my list to order, but I ordered it and was not sorry! It was delicious, and after being in Portugal for 5 days at this point it was very nice to see a little bit of fresh vegetables again (how can these people eat so few vegetables???). Sangria was good as well. Owners are from the Azores, I believe, and offer several dishes and cheeses that are specific to that location. Waitress was very friendly. She said they had the best chocolate cake in the world and she may be right! View of the waterfront under nice umbrellas outside. In the tourist strip of restaurants, but was less touristy than many of the others. Down on the end closer to the pedestrian bridge.

The tosta açoriana is a must try! Really worth it. The tonic gin is also a great find! Great lemon taste and very refreshing!
