Extraordinary restaurant, amazing food and friendly and professional staff. Definitely worth a visit, especially when a celebration is in order.

When in Porto, recently, I was at a dinner at this restaurant with three leading business women from Porto, Lisbon and London. Although the food was very good, the manner in which both waiters treated these ladies was disgraceful. I speak Portuguese well and the manner in which they were spoken to was downright condescending and misogynistic..

The food was of good quality and the ambiance pleasant. Prices were on the high side for the poor quality of service.

Great to have a first taste of the best portuguese cuisine. Family/group friendly. You will find a good portuguese wine and Portwine list. A drink in the bar (ground floor) is mandatory! A must when visiting Oporto!!

This restaurant is very close to Casa da Musica concert hall, perhaps a little bit away from the old center.
It is an old building with a church tower attached but entering inside to the ground floor, one gets a bit puzzled. The ground floor is actually a normal looking pub and nothing gives away that in the second floor is an excellent luxury restaurant.
We started with a glass of Porto, followed by a selection of starters- shrimps, mushrooms, salads etc. As main meal we had fish risotto, shrimp pasta and fish lasagna.
Everything was very tasty and beautifully prepared and served.
The wine list is quite extensive and offers many wines from different regions of Portugal.
Desserts were also tasty, but the chocolate mousse could not compete with the one we had in a small dingy family run eatery.
The service was probably what lowered the whole experience dining in this restaurant. The waiters spoke rather basic English and were not that very attentive. For this kind of category of restaurants I find it a real let down to have to call the waiter several time to attend you.
The atmosphere is lovely, dimmed lights and soft music.
Between the four of us, we spend EUR 160 which included 4 porto wines, one bottle of white, cca 8 small bottles of water, 4 starers, 4 main courses and two desserts (no coffee).

This is a classy but expensive restaurant with fairly sluggish service. The food is very fresh and tasty. I am happy to recommend this place, but to compare the value and quality of food in Porto, one should try some super cheap restaurants in town (Caravela da Ribeira or Ze de Braga) where one can easily eat well for less than EUR 10.

To conclude, if you want to splash out on great food in a nice place, try this place!
