“Excellent value hotel. Friendly service. Great location.”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

Stayed here for 3 nights in June. The location of the hotel is excellent and within 5 minutes walk to the Liberty square ( uphill on the way home though!!!) and main shopping streets. It is also an easy 5 minute walk from Balhao train station which takes you to the airport. The public transport in Porto is excellent and cheap.

The room was spotlessly clean, modern and spacious. The bed wasnt overly comfortable unfortunately so that would be the only complaint I would have. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. There is an additional charge of 5 Euros for breakfast which is basic but adequate. Fast free wi-fi is also available throughout the hotel.

I would definitely stay here again based on excellent value for money and location. Highly recommended!!

For the price we paid, the value was exceptional. The location is very convenient, with a bus stop that picks up passengers using public transit as well as the Red and Yellow Bus tours right outside. Also nearby was the Rede-Expresso bus station, which we walked to with luggage in order to take a bus to Coimbra. We did not eat the breakfast, choosing instead to try one of the many cafes and restaurants nearby. The room was small but clean.

As other reviewers have noted there is a small contingent of homeless people living next door, but they did not bother anyone and we were never approached for money.

Great location, fantastic & helpful staff, comfortable & spotlessly clean & quiet room.. A rare find at such a bargain price. The breakfast is ok however there appears to not be sufficient staff to service the dining area - the one person is responsible for everything

My parents stayed in this hotel between 13-17 of June and this is what they say:

We have enjoyed staying in B&B Porto Centro. It is very clean, the personnel is polite and they speak several foreign languages. We occupied room 116, a large room, with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. On this floor there were two private halls where one could stay and spend some quiet time outside the room.

The 6 euro breakfast was just ok. There was a queue for hot water, coffee or milk. There were only two types of tea bags (lime and black).

We would go back because the of the service, location and price.

This was a very central hotel in Porto. We loved the location and the modern rooms and bathroom. Breakfast was available for 6€ as well. The only reason I marked down the location was the homeless living in the building next door to the hotel. They did not seem to bother anyone though.

Good location, modern and nice decorated hotel , good as regards the price/quality ratio, quiet, comfortable and clean room, nice and friendly staff. Good breakfast, even if not very rich. Very comfortable beds, very good cleaned bathroom. Although our room was in front of Batalha Praca, it was a very quiet room - we slept very well.

Good prices and good location are the hotel's best qualities. Our room was quiet and plainly decorated. Mould in the shower and a leaky door will make your time in the bathroom quick. The breakfast is poor quality, and though cheap it will add ten percent to the cost of your room. Skip it for one of the nearby cafes. Restaurants on the square are poor quality.
