“museum of contemporary art set in lovely gardens”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 18, 2013

This has no permanent and we were lucky enough to see an excellent exhibition of Sarmento. It is a wonderfully designed modern space to show extensive collections such as this. Pretty gardens even in winter

“Relaxing site and great modern art museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2013

This place holds a lovely garden, inspired in the french style gardens.

The house was designed by a famous architect, also the new Modern Art Museum from Priztker award portuguese and from Porto, Siza.

Shows regular exhibits from major European modern art artists, not only Portuguese ones.

Has nice tea and restaurant (for quick meals) with a superb view over the beautifull garden.

It is the most visited museum in the city and in the country, that must mean something too...

And it has two shops, one book shop and another with handcraft and souvenirs.

A secret: Sunday morning, entrance is free!

“A Must Go in Porto.”

One cannot miss the beautiful Siza Vieira building, the Gardens and the exhibits. Apart from the Museum, there's also Casa Serralves, also worth visiting. Check the Museum Shop as well.

“Beautiful gardens”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2012

This lovely estate offers a glimpse of an earlier era. The grounds offer serenity and beauty, the fountains, water features and distinctive gardens (touch and smell the herb garden!) providing a lovely respite in a busy city.
