“Expectedly good.”
Reviewed February 9, 2013 via mobile

The rooms were clean (ours needed a little maintenance, but I'm sure they would change our room if we complained), the staff were nice, breakfast was tasty, the location quite good and the prices very competitive.
There's not much to say here, it's a safe bet if you plan on staying a few days in Porto.

This hotel has been recently modernized and now seems more sleek and fresh. The rooms are still average but given the price they are very acceptable - clean and comfortable. They do need transparent curtains because the rooms on the west side of the hotel look directly onto the windows of the next building which is only about 50m away. The main green curtains give the rooms a weird glow - not a colour I would have picked. Very few toiletries in the bathroom but again this is acceptable given the price (but bring your own shampoo - the hotel shampoo is not nice). Very strangely, the beds have waterproof mattress covers but still manage to be very comfortable. Free wifi in the room which works perfectly. Great value buffet breakfast. Friendly staff. Great location for walking to shopping and Casa da Musica. Also very easy to get to from the highway if driving. Parking extra but easy and I was not charged for 2 days even though I went over 24 hours which was nice.

A modern clean hotel, with friendly staff. Rooms are basic, but complete.

Private car park at a decent rate, breakfast is adequate for very reasonable price. Wifi reception is good/excellent depending on your room, with decent internet speeds.

The location is not ideal since it is quite a steep hill down to the waterfront, but a taxi is about 4 euro's and metro station Casa Musica is -without height differences- close by. Shopping is a few metro stops down the line, get off at Bolhão, at 1,15 euro a ticket.

If you want to be in the center of the city this is not the hotel for you. But if you want a nice, friendly, clean hotel I would recommend this one. Breakfast was average but the rooms were nice. Breakfast, Internet and parking are free so you do save staying here. I would stay here again.

We stayed here for 2 nights recently, having returned to porto after walking the camino. Checkin while very pleasant takes quite a bit of time. We got our keys and went to our room, it was lovely and really spacious. There is a nice pool and bar area on the roof, the pool looks a lot bigger in the photos though.
There is nothing really near the hotel, it is about 5 euro to get a taxi to the centre and there are lots of them outside. We bought tickets at reception for the blue city tour bus, the came and collected us even though we werent on the route.
The breakfast is an extra charge, definitely pay it, its well worth it, a lovely buffet.
I think the hotel is more 4 star than 5 star but it is lovely all the same.
There are. Lot of HF hotels in porto so make sure your taxi driver brings you to the right one!
Wifi is very good

The only complaint really was the cleaning lady on our floor who hoovers outside at 8.30, banging off the door, when we went out she wasnt very pleasant. You can also hear noise between bedrooms which really you shouldnt in 5 star.

Room Tip: Hihgher up floors have better views but dont go too close to the 15th or you may hear pool noise

Very good value! My Family and i drove to porto whilst travelling round portugal and spain, the hotel has a secure car park and is easy to find as is on a main route to porto centre, about a 25min very senic and pleasant walk along the river to the restaurants and peninsular, or a simple tram ride for €2.50 down the river front they come every 15-20mins from the tram museum, which is a 5 min walk straight down he road nearly opposite the hotel. we paid about €150 for 2 rooms, a triple and a single, the bar was lovely and the food looked nice even though we didn't have dinner in the hotel, the breakfast however was lovely, a wide selection and very reasonable at €3.50 each! would defiantly recommend and stay again!
