Like many Portuguese restaurants you arrive in a drab street with an unassuming shop front. Open the door and you find a large well laid out room. I'm told their's a great terrace but in April a little chilly.
Service is superb and helpful and the usual huge portions are provided. The owners wife was very helpful. We started on game sausage where one helping was enough for two. Interesting but not great. This was followed by roast veal for two in a casserole with potatoes and served with cabbage and rice. Too much but very tasty indeed.
The highlight was pudding: miminhos made by the owners wife which was delicious and one portion was enough too.
In summary good portuguese cooking at a reasonable price.
