“A genuine taste of Porto”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

Having lived in Porto for 7 years, I can vouch for the consistent quality of this restaurant. I highly recommend a meal at Adega Ribatejo to both those visiting this evermore popular city or those who live here and have somehow managed to not yet experience the authenticity of Adega's cuisine. I have yet to leave pleasantly surprised both by the quality of the traditional dishes on the menu and the prices these are made available to customers. Be sure to be greeted with a warm welcome and attention to detail that characterizes the friendly staff, and make sure to try the alheira de caça (Game sausage) as a starter, and do not make the mistake of leaving without ordering the "Miminhos" for desert, made in house by the owners wife; the perfect accompaniment to your coffee and glass of Port. A quick note to the impressive local wine list at affordable prices! 5 stars, simply a must.

“Excellent traditional portuguese food, enjoy the exterior terrace!”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

Don't be fooled by the entrance...you'll enter in a really great restaurant with traditional portuguese traditional food. Expect excellent meals made with fresh ingredients, a wide range of superb portuguese wines and desserts/cheeses that will take you into heaven.
Cozy room in the interior, nevertheless, the highlight is the outside terrace where you should be in the spring/summer by day or by night. Location in Oporto's downtown is a plus!
I have eaten there for several times and I will be there soon to repeat that amazing gastronomic experience in a warm night at the exterior terrace for sure.

“Traditional house, good food”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

Such a good environment in this place, to get around with friends, and also with family.
Traditional and typical Portuguese cuisine, one of the special dishes is the traditional lamb.
Also has some special deserts.

“High-quality traditional portuguese food”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

I go as often as I can. Wonderful traditional portuguese food, very caring people, and - in summer - the best patio in Porto. Definitely a favourite!

“If I could bake like that!”
Reviewed March 25, 2013 via mobile

Using trip advisor to get off the beaten track, this family style restaurant offfered us great food and service despite being early. The real bonus though, was the excellent Molotof cake and the answer when I asked the lady what was in it. I was delighted to be given a step by step description from someone who took obvious pride in her work. And it is deserved for every aspect of the restaurant.
