Located on Boa Vista, a main avenue in Porto, going from Casa de la Musica to the Sea, tehre is nothing much around the hotel. However, can find a supermarket just cross the street and buses/taxis within 50m. Next to the hotel is Sheraton Porto.
Hotel in itself is very clean and well maintained; There is a nice odor inside the floor corridors and also inside the room. The Hermes soap is also giving nice smell. The color of corridor and rooms is light and bright giving a peaceful atmosphere. The room is a good size with large bed, plenty of pillows and LCD Samsung.
What is missing are accessories for making coffee and hot water.
Internet is available as supplement with several package from 1H to long stay. Let's sya that for 24h, are 2 prices, 17eur ot 13eur.
On Friday and Saturday nights, ther eis a nightclub in the hotel (olympia I think) but no noise in the room.
I'll be staying there again.
Good place

We booked this hotel because it looked good and the write-ups seemed positive - and they weren't wrong! When we arrived to check in we were offered a glass of port - what a way to start your stay! Our room was sumptuous and luxurious - and the rain shower, now that was something else!
We were given direction to the Porto football ground and also a map to get there with details of the shopping area (not that my partner was pleased about that)! Anyway, the bar was great and made us some fabulous cocktails. The bar staff were very attentive, but not in your face, so you only noticed them when you wanted another drink - GREAT! Breakfast was good, plenty of choice, although the mushrooms might have been nicer with less or no garlic (bit too early in the day to have garlic breath). Bread & rolls went down a treat.
The only thing was the cost of the parking - 26 euros for 24 hours, bit steap but you pay for the service and a I was more than happy to do that. When I'm in Porto again I shall hope to stay here again!

1st time to Porto in 14 years, so i couldn't remember much.
Checked in a bit early at around 12.45, there were no available rooms only executive rooms, my lucky day when the receptionist upgrade us to an executive room on the 14th floor( our rate was very very low, so we were surprised when we got the upgrade).Check in staff were good, so was concierge who brought our cases immideatly
Rooms was good size, very comfy beds, nice working desk, plasma tv, cd player, huge mini bard, lots of storage, bathroom was big, great shower/bath very nice decorated and clean, good little touches like Hermes aminities, robes, slippers, extra towels.
We decieded to walk to the nearest beach, which took us about 50 mins, but there is a bus alternative or the tube, the nearest stop to the hotel is Casa da Musica, which is about 10 min walk from the hotel, or you can take the bus right by to the hotel straight into the city centre (201 or 203). We got the Andante card which you can use on trains, buses, metro for 24 hours for only €5.

When i came back to the hotel , housekeeping did the night tournaround( chocolates, got beds ready, water).

Next morning breakfast, which was really good, great selection of everything and staff were very attentive.

Overall a great stay at this hotel, nothing to complain, even the main attractions are a bit far away, its easy to get around.
Would definitely stay here again.

We booked this Hotel through Travel Jungle at a very decent price for four nights. Although not in the centre of things the Hotel is luxurious with added extras, including bathrobes and chocolates left on the pillows. On arrival at around 20:00 hours we were given a glass of port and presented with a map of Porto with the main sites marked out for us. Our room was lovely, with a big double bed, chairs and a great bathroom. TV had quite a few English Channels (even movies in English with Portugese sub titles). Breakfast was varied with a lot of choice ranging from fruit through to cooked options. On the first night we ate at the hotel and the service was excellent. The mini bar was expensive and obviously aimed at the corporate market, but there is a supermarket just up the road where water and wine was cheap.
Once we found our bearings getting into the old part of Porto was a cinch using the metro which was about a ten minute walk away. Also the Brazillian restaurant at the side of the hotel was great...not to be missed.

We only stayed one night in Porto and chose this hotel based on the other reviews. We were not disappointed, when we finally found it. Valet parking and very helpful front desk staff, with a welcoming glass of port.

The room was a very high standard, as was pretty well everything else. The only complaint I had was wifi access being charged at €8 an hour.

This was probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in 'especially in the price range and in any price range.
Rooms are quite big (double room) very elegantly designed. The CD stereo system is a great bonus and the overall quality projects high standards . In this trip to portugal I rate it my number one hotel thouhg I have stayed in much more expensive ones during my stay there.
Enjoy

given a welcome glass of port while checking in and staff were as friendly, professional and amenable as any i have experienced. hotel well away from historic heart and 45 mins walk/swift taxi ride/easy bus ride from beachfront at foz. 15 minute walk to nearest metro. we paid 10 euros for upgrade to 14th floor. very nice room. would benefit from free internet access and comp bottled water as we had at sofitel in lisbon. that was only minor gripe. bar service and meals excellent. nice coffee shops nearby, also handy supermarket. porto is a great destination and lunch at taylors fladgate port lodge was lovely. duoro cruise enjoyable.
