Beautiful old time rail station with marvelous tilework. Well worth the effort to find it. Wonderful public building.

“Tiles and rails”
Reviewed July 2, 2014

This is an amazing building to visit if only to view the tiled interior but it is also easy to access the outlying areas and the staff are very willing to assist with any queries that you might have.

The mosaics inside are definitely worth a visit. From floor to ceiling, all the way around the building. Wonderful art work!

“Worth a Stop to See the Tiles”
Reviewed July 2, 2014

As you enter the station, you see a large room with blue and white tiles on the walls illustrating historical and fabled events. It is quite handsome and worth a stop to see them. The trains are right off of this main entry room. We can't say anything about the operation of the station as we were just there to see the tiles. I was told and was surprised that there are not trains to Lisbon from this station. Have not verified if that is correct.
