“Beautiful Train Station”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

It was indeed a beautiful train station, but it was just that...a train station. I recommend it b/c it only takes 5 mins to see. The tile (Azuelo) work was amazing.

“Beautiful palace, well kept and worth seeing. Oh yeah - it's free!!”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

The tile artwork is remarkable. The train system itself is pretty easy to use and clean and fast. The whole place is full of people taking photos.

Good to kill half an hour - it was interesting

Oh, the places inside that sell food are terrible. It is hot and humid in there, and I don't know how long they keep cupcakes and food items, but everything tasted like soap - or spoiled. Don't eat anything from any shop there.

As you walk into the interior it's hard to believe that it's not a museum. Stunning! Very photo-worthy.

“Ver beautiful decorations”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

Getting information and tickets was a breeze in spite of us having no Portugese at all. Staff very helpful. The tiled decoration of the station walls was fantastic. marvellous skills in making the tiles and composing the finished work

“Makes for a nice visit! Typically Portuguese tiles”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

We arrived at the train station around 8.30am on a Monday, it was not crowded but there was already a great atmosphere of excited tourist and locals on their way to work. We enjoyed a cup of coffee while we waited for our train and had 30 minutes to admire the tile work and look around. It is a small train station, but very classy and worth seeing.
