We stayed two nights in the room 4.2. It was clean and spacious with a nice big bed and a compact but good bathroom. Shower was very good. Outside the room was a sitting area with balcony. The breakfast was good with all the usual bits and pieces. The staff were brilliant with great advice on the must see sights and restaurants etc. and really toolk lots of time to help us. The location is top and we spent one and a half days walking all over the place as the weather was top. Would definately recommend the Almada to my friends and family.

Room Tip: The rooms 4.1 and 4.2 are at the back of the house and away from the street. Our room was nice and q...

We stayed here for 3 nights. Spacious room, good breakfast. Terrific location! Staff were very friendly and helpful and recommended a guided walking tour for us which we really enjoyed. In fact, staff (particularly Mavi) went above and beyond the call of duty to assist us with various things. Main suggestion for improvement - a large enough advertising sign above the guesthouse would help in locating it on this street. Plus an indication of where the bell is.

Room Tip: Ask for one on the higher floors - less noisy. And ask for a private bathroom.

We have stayed 3 nights at Almada Guesthouse recently. Central location of the guesthouse is brilliant. Less than 5 minutes walk from Trindale metro station (30 minutes from airport on purple line). Many tourist attractions are within in short walking distance.

On arrival Richardo showed us everything we need to know about Porto on the map! Attractions, things to do/see, restaurants etc. He was just brilliant. We just ended up following his recommendations and had a great time in Porto.

Room was spacious and clean but noisy in the evening. I would definitely recommend ear plugs!

Kitchen is always open, if you want to cook, make coffee/tea etc. Breakfast included in the rate was simple but good. Deliciously fresh bread, fruit, ham, cheese, juice etc. They have eggs available in the fridge if you want to cook yourself.

Staff at Almada were all friendly and helpful.

I would definitely stay here again but I'll take ear plugs.

the place is great:
1. location in a street parallel to the mainstreet, very close to the tourist information.
2. cleanliness and facilities - superb communal kitchen, very tidy and clean beds and communal facilities.
3. the very best staff: i have never met any concierge or reception or tourist information staff being nearly as knowledgeable and enthusiastic about porto as those guys working there.
just to have their input and advice is priceless.
- i have never stayed in a place with such a low price and had some reservation.
but i tell you: i will be back, because it is really inexpensive and the best deal you will get in relation of what you pay.

Room Tip: i had the comfort room and needed separate beds and own bathroom: 68.- for two incl.breakfast: very...

A great B&B in downtown Porto. Clean, comfortable, spacious, the communal kitchen is always open, and most importantly, the staff are fantastic--friendly, open, helpful, enjoyable to be around. We would definately come back.

Room Tip: Rooms on the street side can be noisy on the weekend. higher level rooms are smaller and cheaper--an...

A fantastic B&B in a great location with a very friendly and helpful owner.

The property doesn't look much from the outside but it's very stylish and tasteful inside. There is a great communal kitchen where breakfast is served and you're encouraged to help yourself to complimentary drinks (tea, coffee, juices, ice tea etc.). The rooms are simple but comfortable with nice bathrooms.

The real surprise was a fantastic lounge area on the top floor with a great terrace offering views over the city. Excellent value for money and I would recommend without hesitation.
