No problems with the staff nice and polite and at the very center of historic Porto but with some problems for a new hotel no parking included, the park nearby is almost 20 euros a day Not bad but : very very noisy / small room with lousy WC ... there are better offers nearby

4 nights at Carris Hotel have been a great stay for us. The hotel is really central, near the river and 100mt from Palacio da Borsa. Everything is really nice here: the beautiful glass walls, the large hall, the furniture of the bar. Rooms are spacious and well furnished, the only inconvenient is with rooms with the window on the street ( that street is really congested, in the night as well ). If you get a room with river view you'll stay like a prince !!! We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, so we cannot say... Price is really low for a 4-stars hotel like this !

I didn't say here, just popped in to use the bathrooms, and I was really quite impressed with the place. Very well located for the river and tourist areas. Only been open about 2 or 3 years. They have renovated it, and blended the old with the new. Has a cool vibe about it - the sort of place I'd like to come back and stay with husband in tow, and spend a few nights enjoying Porto.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel itself is very nice (clean, helpful staff). The location is great, but be warned that Porto is a very hill-y city... so bring comfy shoes! The hotel restaurant is great, too. My only criticisms would be the beds (a little hard) and the wifi (not reliable). Otherwise, great hotel.

The hotel is perfectly located, one street up from the river and restaurants and within walking distance of numerous sights. The interior is very nice and the rooms are clean and look new. A big plus is the airconditioning which is quiet. But it only works with the room key in the energy saver, so bring a spare business card to bypass this nuisance. Get a room away from the front street, because from Thursday onwards the bar across the street will keep you up with loud music until at least 2-3 in the morning. The rooms have a wooden floor, so you will also hear every footstep in the rooms next to, above and below yours. Not all nights are quiet and relaxing, so this is not well suited for busy business guests. The wifi login page doesn't work 2 out of 3 times and the connection drops every 10-15 minutes. It's free and also worthless at the same time. But if your goal is late night parties and tourism, this is a great choice.
