This was by far the best overall dining experience we had in our two weeks while traveling through Spain and Portugal. The attention to detail and service made the food that much better, and although this is an upscale restaurant and more formal the environment and service were so warm, inviting and personal it did not feel formal or stuffy.

I would highly recommend O Paparico to anyone in Porto and hope to return myself someday. Although not cheap compare to what this would cost for us in the U.S. we felt that the meal and experience was well worth the cost.

This was a surprise dinner organized from my better half for my birthday celebrations.
Very attentive service and nice menu all prepared in an impeccable manner . Yes it's on the high side but if you're out to impress or need of good pampering this is the place in Porto ....... Well done and keep it up

What a wonderful restaurant, a must if you are in Oporto. It's way out from the city a good 15 minutes by taxi but don't hesitate if you like gourmet food then don't miss out on this wonderful place . Booking is a must... confirmation of your booking is returned by email by Patricia who will explain this dining experience. She will also ask if you have any allergies etc. A must because they only serve one menu no choices. It's a 7 course experience of delight. Cost not cheap 90€ with 45€ for wine pairing buts it's well worth every Euro. We started with a stew broth, this was paired with a 2008 sparkling wine. Then followed a picnic, snacks that included lobster, quail eggs codfish and much more. The came the crawfish again all served with vintage wines. Next octopus delicious, next veal with the most amazing red wine. Then a Christmas dessert which was followed by .....what came first the chicken or the egg..a wonderful white chocolate dome sitting on straw made from egg and sugar. You just wouldn't believe it. Served of course in a glass hen. Nearly finished Cadies served in a. Christmas music box. At least 6 small morsals of the most devine chocolate and candy. And don't forget the wonderful service and ambiance. I'm only sorry I left this gastronomic event until our last night ... well done xxxx

Superb food inspired by traditional Portuguese dishes using regional produce. Excellent wine paring and friendly staff providing faultless service. Absolutely worth making the short taxi ride from Porto centre.
