Very nice, trendy hotel in the busy heart of the city. You can walk 1-2 miles in every direction and find all kinds of interesting things to learn & entertain. The staff was possibly the best we've come across, flawless English at all times, and always ready with suggestions and tips to make sure our 3 days were filled. The rooms were spotless, the completely glass walled shower & toilet rooms had to be! the soundproof rooms & windows were amazing, very easy to sleep in such a busy city area. Breakfast was great with plenty to choose from, the fresh fruit was fabulous. the one complaint was the evening bar maid, she was unable to handle our simple drink order when it was only the 2 of us in the lounge. on the 2nd night when there were 3-4 other patrons in the lounge, the wait for a glass of port was over 20 minutes, and then another 20 minutes to get the tab before we could leave. She was completely inept, we didn't return on the 3 night.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- The Hotel Teatro arose from the spot where the Baquet Theatre was inaugurated in 1859. A hundred and fifty-one years later, the unique, refined and bohemian environment of the Theatre has been revived here in a hotel. The Reception represents a box office, where each guest receives a ticket to access their room. The Restaurant and Bar have become the new Palco and Plateia, offering creations for a discerning palate. The inner courtyard is a versatile garden or a quiet and secluded haven from the tumult of the city. The 74 comfortable rooms and suites are colored in gold and bronze, and the gym on the top floor transforms the Hotel into a true arena for action and relaxation. ... more less
