The apartment was well located and nicely appointed, having recently been renovated with good quality fixtures and fittings. It was spacious and the beds were comfortable.
It's in the old part of town and just a short stroll from the River, with lots of bars and restaurants nearby.
What let it down for us was the fact that the apartment was absolutely freezing when we arrived. It doesn't have central heating, just a couple of oil-filled radiators, so we had to resort to running the cooker hob as well on full power for the first couple of days in order to warm up the apartment. I guess in other seasons this wouldn't be an issue.
We also had a problem with other guests making a lot of noise in the stairwell each night. They also rang the bell accidentally in the early hours, as it looks like a light switch, so we had a disturbed nights sleep every night we were there, which was disappointing.
The owner brought us an extra oil filled radiator after we reported the problem and they also came over promptly to fix the wifi, as it wasn't working when we arrived.
