Modern hotel. Well maintained. Rooms are clean and offer a decent size. Price reasonable. Nice breakfast. Wifi included, nice to have!
Shops and restaurants at a walking distance.
The best point is probably the reception staff, adorable and very helpful people.

This is a nice hotel with helpful staff. It is about 15 minutes walk to the entrance of the old town and 10-15 minutes more if you want to walk to the Braganza Palace and the Guimaraes Castle. The room is comfortable. Although we can hear some traffic noise, when we turned on the air conditioning, the continuous low humming blocked us from the unpleasant sound and we had a very good night's sleep.

The free breakfast provided had a wide choice that should make most of the people happy.

The hotel provides free parking in an underground garage which unfortunately did not provide direct access to the hotel. So we had to block the path in front of the hotel for a couple of minutes to unload the luggage and then drove the car into the garage. The other alternative is to drag the luggage down and up the ramp. The garage is less than 100 meters from the entrance of the hotel. So it is not too bad unless you have very heavy bags.

Otherwise, everything else is fantastic.

We ended up here after a snafu at another hotel - what a lucky accident! From the time we were welcomed by Adriana (who provided excellent tips, advise and restaurant recommendations throughout our stay) we felt comfortable and happy to return here each evening. Although it's in a larger building, the hotel itself is fairly small (only 3 floors) with a small staff that you see daily so it feels more like a family-run hotel.

It is clean, modern, with good-sized rooms (free wifi, good access to power outlets, nice desk set up) that caters mostly to Portuguese business travelers and tourists. That said, the staff all spoke English, were extremely helpful and were proud to share the local highlights. They even added stamps to my postcards to the US - no charge!

Bathrooms are large, very clean, well lighted and modern. Decent towels, good amenities (including conditioner - which I found rarely, comb, shower cap, etc) and a good shower.

They have onsite, underground parking and are located a couple blocks from both the train station (1 hour to Porto) and the lovely town center. When staying in this north of portugal I'd come here again!!

We stayed three days in the beautiful city of Guimaraes, the birthplace of Portugal. This is an excellent hotel. Not only it is modern, with large and clean bedrooms and bathrooms, as it is also very nicely located, within walking distance from the Historical Center. The staff is extremely polite and helpful, specially our cleaning lady, who was fantastic. The only drawback in my opinion is that the rooms need an update of the TV device. It is small and old-fashioned. This excellent hotel deserved more. Everything else is great including the superb breakfast, although don't expect eggs and bacon...

This is an interesting hotel, within easy walking distance of the centre of town. The hallways, lobby and public rooms are spacious and full of vibrant colours. Strangely, by contrast, the rooms are modest in size and are dreary by comparison to the rest of the hotel. That said, the rooms are clean, the beds big and comfortable, and, contrary to what we had been informed by Booking.com, wifi was available and free. Breakfast was excellent, consisting of good quality ham/cheese, a variety of bread, cereal, fruit, croissant. and bacon and scrambled egg. The staff were very good too, particularly a receptionist, Adriane, who was incredibly enthusiastic about both the town and the hotel and couldn't have been more helpful.
The hotel had the feel of somewhere much more expensive. The only minor irritant was the playing of dire music in the hallways, (often Peruvian pipe music). Why some hotels feel the need for this pollution defeats me. However, a request for it to be turned down, or off at night, was immediately done.
This is a hotel which gives a good nights sleep, in good quality surroundings, for a ridiculously low price. Highly recommended.

A friendly hotel with good English spoken. Only about 5 minutes walk from the historic centre of this pleasant city.

Spacious modern room with fridge/minibar. The TV was not so modern and the room needed more lighting. Very quiet air conditioning.

Limited parking right outside

Good breakfast with fruit, cereal, bread, meat etc and bacon and eggs

Room Tip: Get a room on the left side, preferably 3rd floor for a view towards the castle

This modern hotel is a short walk to the center of historical Guimaraes and the train station. The rooms are relatively large and even if you have a room facing the busy street, teh double glazed windows and air con keep the noise out. The room and bathroom are contemporary, except for the small, old TV (but there is so much to see and do in Guimaraes that I doubt you will watch TV very much). There is underground, free parking (it is a bit hard to go down the ramp) that is great to keep your car out of the hot sun in the summer months. The staff es exceptionally helpful and friendly. We originally were going to stay only one night, but decided on two and went to Porto by train the second day. That is a great option as the station is not far, the tickets are cheap, and you avoid the hassle of driving and parking in Porto. I would stay here again for sure. Be sure you take the time to visit the old city.
