I stayed here on an all-too-brief working visit to Guimaraes. I would love to return to the town to explore, and I'll definitely choose this hotel to stay in when I return. It is located centrally in the old central district - ideal for exploration on foot. The rooms are spacious; I'm not sure that my photos can do it justice. The staff are exceptionally helpful, the decor is lovely and there are some distinctive design elements, including the reception desk constructed from books (again, see photo which doesn't do it justice.) Breakfast is a better selection than in some hotels in Portugal. I've no idea what prices are like in high season but in February it was excellent value. Definitely one to return to.
