“Great Alternative”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

Great alternative to the traditional restaurant offerings in portugal that are in overabundance. If your sick and tired of the typical dish with sides of rice, french fries and lame mixed salad garnish with alternating main of steak, pork cutlets, bbq chicken or fish then this place is a breath of fresh air with its tapas menu. Food was delicious, great attempt at change, and love the variety yet complimentary options between traditional and modern and local and international. And the wine list is great!

“Excellent meal”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

Our best meal in Portugal. Excellent food, which was plentiful, tasty and reasonably priced. The owner was knowledgeable and friendly and made great recommendations.

A little hard to find, but well worth the extra time trying to locate it.

“Nice hosts, nice drinks, nice food”
Reviewed September 28, 2013 via mobile

Best place in Guimarães to try exquisite and little known wines and beers, on par with what you can find on any big city in Europe. Top that with a friendly communicative owner and tasty well made tapas style food and you've got THE place to visit in Guimarães if you're short on time in the city. Very reasonably priced for the quality you get.

“A well deserved number one.”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

A pleasant experience in this lovely medieval town. We enjoyed a nice light lunch in this modern contemporary setting.
Being a little homesick after two weeks of bacalhau and Portuguese cooking I went for Spaghetti al Nero di Seppia with shrimps and olives. They came in a big plate and were excellent even for Italian standards, tasty and yet delicate, a real surprise. My wife took the salmon toast and this was very nice as well along with a good Sovina beer (recommended) and for me a delicious glass of white wine from the Douro.
We found the value proposition of this place absolutely correct, being not prone to the business of the mass tourism industry.
We shared some interesting thoughts with the owner and praised his inspiration about food philosophy. Bravo! Well done!
Truly recommended.

“Small gastro place at the edge of Centro historico”
Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

This is a small restaurant and bar, located not far from the most touristic places of the amazing Centro historico.

The owner is a young creative chef who not only prepares tasty meals, but also talks to the customers and provides them with good advice, including great wine.

The decoration is contemporary, rather minimalist, giving protagonism to food and drink.

At the end the price is low compared with the experience.
