Your can spend most of the day in the old town. They have several restaurants and historical sites with plenty of small
parks with shade. It does get a little hot in the summer.
This is a very peaceful and pleasant place. Take a walk , the whole town is a historical experience.
is a historical

Very nice piece of history! The castle is very nice, and the military museum is even better. It is a shame that you have to pay (2€ I think) to see it. But is free on a Sunday morning. A must see if you ever come to Bragança! There are some "recuerdos" that can be bought and some coffee shops to sit around!

I visited this amazing castle in northern Portugal during the annual medieval festival where all the city is fully decorated like in the past. many activities, street musicians and open air spectacles. Inside the castle is very well preserved and beautiful houses.

The castle is on the highest point in the area, and is surrounded by the old "city" walls. It is almost within its own little village, and while there are some modern amenities in this immediate area, they do not spoil the medieval atmosphere.
