A nice pousada with great views over the old town and distant hills. It was also very peaceful- we slept with our balcony door wide open and were not disturbed at any time. Our room was roomy and comfortable with a decent bathroom and a small balcony furnished with a small table and a couple of chairs. We were slightly surprised there was no safety deposit box in our room, and we thought it a little penny-pinching to charge €3 for the bottle of water left there. The staff were pleasant and helpful and made us feel very welcome (a special mention of Isabel who was so friendly and accommodating). The breakfast was very good although the coffee was rather stewed. Although the pousada is situated on a hill it was a fairly easy walk down to the new town and even back up from there to the old town. Overall a great hotel and a great stay.

We booked one night. The room was spacious, a balcony overlooking the town and the good size swimming pool. Easy to find, easy parking, quick check in/out , kind receptionists and at decent walking distance from the town.
We had dinner and it was an experience of a life time. We already gave a Michelin star to a Pousada in Viseu and this was a second Michelin Star. We got maybe half a dozen of starters which was a nice surprise because not mentioned on the menu. Every starter with new cutlery and explanation by the kind waiter, a real expert. The starters (and the food) were to die for. Also an "extra" desert and my "real" desert was not only super but was at the same time a wonderful sight. Pity I hadn't my camera with me.
All in all our visit to Bragança will always remain in our memory.

Exceptional food quality and staff.
Highly recommended place to stay.

The Hotel is located on a hill in front of the old town, with the best possible views of the castle, walls and old city maze. Very big rooms with balcony. Excellent gastronomic restaurant: high quality, very good service and affordable price.

Not only the gorgeous view to the castle was a surprise during our two days stay in the Pousada: We have had excellent Pasta with langostinos as a starter and a well prepared pork shoulder as main course. Four ‘ amuses bouches’ as a prelude were offered by the kitchen. Co-owner Antonio introduced us in the local wine areas and gave helpfully advises for choice. Remarkable good value for money (wine list). Very friendly staff.
