It is simple cathedral comparing to other cathedral in Italia or Spain. I mean the building is not gorgeous cathedral...but I love this place because the people will fulfill the Cathedral during Sunday service...and that's the meaning of Church. So if you go there in Sunday, remember to respect the people that doing their pray there

The Cathedral is beautiful, and you can sense it's long history, but it's a bit isolated of other points of interest. If you're in the neighborhood, check it out..if not...maybe some other time...

It is a very old cathedral in Portugal, with a lot of history and religious interest if you are into that. I was quite disappointed to see that the cathedral is surrounded by modern buildings as tall as the Se itself, so it doesn't really stand out as much as it could. It could be quite easy to walk straight past it, or think it's just a regular church. We realized because we had a map and it had to be the cathedral.
We went inside and I was quite disappointed to find out that they were quite strict with the photography. Even though there wasn't a mass or prayer we weren't able to take photos and as an amateur photographer I always think it's a shame when one isn't allowed, specially without a good reason!

Its a beautiful cathedral and inside there is an incredible and big organ. One of the most beautiful organ i have ever seen. In the other hand, i dont like that its forbidden to take pictures inside. Entrance is free. In one side there is a museum with diferent art things, and outside there are ancient pictures remains in a little chapel.

As said before, a beautiful cathedral, big and with loads and loads of history attached, even more than you would say at first glance...
A lot of the stones that where used to built this cathedral are re-used, so when you pay attention you get to see a lot of 'misplaced'inscriptions. My absolute favorite is one on the outside of the cathedral, at about the place where on the other side of the wall the altar is placed. Here is the inscription of the Roman Isis temple!
