The Residential is reasonably located (although not on or near the beach) and the view is good, I give you that, but Porto Santo is a tiny island and nothing is really far away. The room was small with no place to put our two suitcases. The beds were old and creaky, the door to the balcony would not close, but the worst part was the bathroom. The shower had rust and other more worrying spots everywhere, some things were kept together with tape. The toilet seat was vintage 1960s plastic. The breakfast was absolutely ridiculous. We stayed for two nights and we went to have breakfast in one of the pastelarias in the centre of the town after a sleepless night since people were coming and going at all times screaming and slamming doors. The hotel was booked for us as part of a tour so I don't know how much it costs to stay there, but if you are on a tight budget you would be better off sleeping on the beach and use the money you save for a good breakfast.
