“Lovely views to accompany lovely food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2013 via mobile

Good location with lovely views to take in a sunset. The food didn't disappoint either. As others have said, very good value for money and nice to have something a bit different - I had local scabbard with passion fruit sauce, which was delicious and the tangine impressed too.

“VERY ENJOYABLE MEAL”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2013

Had a lovely meal here last week. Great location overlooking the sea, near the old Lido. The Bolo Do Caco to start was DELICIOUS and very large. The whole experience was good. Would recommend this restaurant for ambience, efficiency and good tasty food.

“Evening meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013 via mobile

A lovely location overlooking the sea and offering a wide range of choices on the menu.
The starter of bruschetta was excellent and of a main meal size. Both main courses were out of this world( the tagine and the agadir). Portion size was again large! There was no room for either a sweet or coffee! Certainly value for money.
The service was good ( friendly and polite staff) but appreciate what other reviewers have said about waiting for the bill!
The negative was the effluent smell which did detract from the enjoyability of this restaurant. However worth another visit.

“Quite acceptable and a bit out of the ordinary”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2013

This is a nice place up in the Lido where you can dine outside and watch the world go by. The food is probably prepared in advance and re-heated but dining here with friends has always been a pleasure and we've returned several times up to two years apart and have never been disappointed. The staff are pleasant and obliging. My friends typically go for one of the Tagine dishes and I have a pasta dish. Reasonable prices for food and wine, and the wine choice is actually better than many more traditional restaurants one may try in Madeira. We always leave a tip, because the service is suitably attentive without being intrusive.

Worth a try if you can't make up your mind where to go.
