Ate here a couple of times on recent holiday food is excellent and service is superb, portions are very large one main pizza will do two also starters very large. Prices are such that this does not really matter great value for money.highly recommend this place.

“Lunch and afternoon drinks”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

Freshly cooked Pizza and pasta, don't try a pizza on your own unless you eat a LOT, pasta portions are just manageable(and I eat a lot!) local fish and meat dishes all served well.
Very friendly bar used by the locals, tourists and the travel Reps
Just having a drink is fine, but watching the food go by you will soon be reaching for the menu.

A great little restaurant with no pretentions but great food.Excellent staff who don't try and grab you in but look after you once you decide to dine there(or just have a drink) Very clean and very obliging. My wife is Coeliac and the staff was very helpful with her special diet requirements adjusting the menu to what ever suited her best.Well worth a visit or two! Thank you !

“Very enjoyable”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

I stayed at the meliã hotel recently which is right opposite to this really good restaurant. I went there for lunch 3 times and had dinner there twice. Its not fine dining but just a good place to eat with lots of variety on the menu. Their tuna salads are really filling as are the dishes of the day. I dared to try the portuguese cozido and was a little apprenhensive when it arrived in front of me but when i started tucking in i was really surprised at just how tasty it is. The meats were very well cooked and tender and the veg is great with olive oil. My husband had the bodião fish which he said was fresh and well cooked but was a little disappointed with the dry rice and slightly cold veg. The restaurant was rushed off their feet most of the time and it seems quite common for group meals to take place here, possibly because of all the hotels in the area. That was the only off putting side to the restaurant as at times it got a bit noisy and service got a little slower. Overall its an enjoyable place to eat. Would recommend.
