Was a little bit disappointed with the hotel and now wish we had chosen to stay in The Village. The bar, restaurant and terrace that are part of what was obviously an old mansion were lovely. Filled with period furniture and lovely setting, only marred by access to parts of the area being 'closed' to guests whilst Owners Function and some sort of welcome party being held. There was no prior notice of this which was really annoying as was lovely are to relax after a day out.
We were not given any form of written or verbal information about when the various restaurants were open and we weren't only people to find this a bit confusing.
Our room and bathroom were very large but tired. The carpet had stains and the small kitchen area had cupboard doors loose.
Situation good for using local and tourist buses and if fit 20 min walk into town.
Food very average.More
