“Beautiful gardens”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2014

A gorgeous location to wander about in beautifully set out gardens. The planting is superb and well maintained. The house is being restored but is still worth exploring. The little coffee shop was lovely with a great selection of teas and pastries.

There was decent parking nearby so on our subsequent visit we parked here and caught the little shuttle bus to Regalaria.

“Beautiful palace and gardens”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2014

The palace and gardens really are spectacular! There is quite a bit of walking though to get to the palace so it might not suit someone who has difficulties with mobility. We did Monserrate and Pena Palace, and although Monserrate cannot compare to Pena Palace, I still really enjoyed it. We got the audio guide but I don't think it was worth the money as there is only a small amount of information on it.

“Great restoration work!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2014

Congratulations to all restoration team work in bringing this place back to the living.

The palace is different from any other palaces you have visited. The gardens reflect every continent in the planet with lots of vegetation.

Make sure to bring some snacks to eat in the lower garden near the little lake.

“Not completed yet”

This is a pretty place to walk around the gardens, but the palace is not quite fully restored and so it is more of an informational tour. It could be skipped if you are trying to see other things.

“Overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2014

was a little bit overpriced for what it offered but still worth a visit their are plenty more sights that are cheaper and offer as much so if your time is limited give this one a miss. On the other hand if your time is plentiful you can spend many hours in here.
