Situated at the western end of the amazing town of Sintra (you must go to see it) the cottage is in the grounds of two larger houses. The climate is slightly cooler up in the Sintra hills and therefore it offers some respite from the heat and there is plenty of greenery to see. The cottage is very well appointed and there are nice touches provided. It comes with a pleasant outside seating/dining/BBQing area though it does not have a pool which is not a problem for us. In early July we had an issue with noise from the works on one of the houses but the host handled the issue well and I would not hesitate in recommending the cottage for a memorable stay. One word of warning- the Sintra traffic is not an enjoyable experience. But there is a reason the place is so popular- it is a wonder of the world.
