Description: Integrated within the Moon Hill Hostel, this space aims to be one of co-habitation between travellers and locals, allowing a total exchange of experiences and cultures. To this end, we provide you with a space where you can breathe the good atmosphere, heated by the salamander that stands out, for the possibility of a romantic meal in one of our loveseats for two and the bustling view of the Palace of Sintra when entering or leaving. And of course, the mouth-watering flavors of our hamburguers!

Generally speaking a good option near the town centre in Sintra.
The food was good and so were the portions - perhaps more expensive if compared to other places, but it's also a different aproach to food and, these days, you pay for that. Good marks for the chicken breast (tender and juicy) and for the chips (home style). There are also vegetarian options.
The salad, however, was "plain" when compared to the main dish. Olive oil and vinegar were brought to the table to season the salad, but no salt - I'm sure you can just ask for it, but, come on... I know this is just a detail, but still...
Dessert was a bit of a disappointment. Although they were good I was expecting something better, considering the rest of the menu.
The food is good but it could be brilliant. All in all I got the feeling that for some reason they were not going the extra mile and I don't think it has to do with chef's ability. Maybe they're afraid of going beyond their confort zone?
The decoration is modern and laid-back, although elegant. General feel: relaxed, cosy, kind of "chic enough to impress but you don't have to dress fancy". Being Portuguese I felt the whole place was aimed more at the foreign tourist and not so much at the locals, which was a bit of a turnoff for me.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
I will go back!

When traveling especially during the mid-day in a town such as Sintra where there are many day visitors, it is fun to try a local restaurant that is not in the center of activities. This is the case with Caldo Entorando, which was recommended by our Casa Miradouro hotel.
This restaurant is small, off a quiet street, and offered a good Portuguese prix fixe lunch consisting of carrot soup (or salad), pork tenderloin with bacon, and dessert. The interior is modern but simple, and it just felt comfortable being there.
Overall, this was a very nice respite from the other visitors to this town, and was only a ten minutes walk uphill (or steps) to the National Palace.

We were french-fried out and looking for something a little different. This restaurant (attached to the moon hill hostel) was a nice, contemporary take on portuguese cuisine! You get the delicious flavours, but it's lightened up a bit. Good value, too. The space is also modern, yet still inviting.

I highly recommend the perch, it's probably my favourite dinner I've had in Portugal so far.

Just a 5 minutes walk from the main square with a lot of tourist traps is this nice restaurant. Not crowded, but hopefully that changes with all the great reviews. They deserve it.
